Help Support First Responders and Ride for FREE

INTRODUCTION

Ride for Free is a fundraising initiative of the Canada 911 Ride Foundation. It provides riders with the opportunity to raise funds in support of the Foundation’s mission of honouring fallen first responders, supporting their families, and helping the broader emergency services community. Instead of paying the regular registration fee, riders who reach a fundraising threshold can participate at no cost and may also qualify for hotel accommodations during the Ride.

This program strengthens awareness, brings new supporters into our community, and generates meaningful funds for our charitable work.

HOW IT WORKS

To participate in Ride for Free, riders must create a team fundraising campaign through our online donation portal. This allows riders to receive donations toward their fundraising goal and track their progress. For step by step instructions on setting up a campaign, open the attached PDF.

Donations received through the campaign accumulate toward the fundraising threshold for the rider category. Once a threshold is achieved and verified, the rider qualifies for the corresponding benefit. Fundraising closes prior to event weekend to allow verification and hotel planning.

Single Rider
Raise 2000 dollars Free Ride
Raise 2800 dollars Free Ride plus one hotel night
Raise 3750 dollars Free Ride plus two hotel nights

Rider plus Passenger
Raise 2750 dollars Free Ride for two
Raise 3600 dollars Free Ride for two plus one hotel night
Raise 4500 dollars Free Ride for two plus two hotel nights

TAX RECEIPTING AND REFUNDS

All donations made to participant fundraising pages receive a tax receipt in the donor’s name.

If a registered rider has already paid their registration fee and later reaches a qualifying fundraising threshold, the Foundation will refund the applicable fee or portion of fee associated with the level achieved.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hotel nights apply to the official hotel used as part of the Ride.
Hotel nights are non transferable and must be used by the registered participant.
Fundraising thresholds must be reached prior to the published cut off date.
If a participant exceeds the highest tier, the Foundation may provide additional recognition.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE

Ride for Free is open to anyone, whether you are registered or not. New riders and returning riders are welcome to join the program.
